I woke up to my leg itching like crazy. It woke me up a couple times in one night. In the morning I could see redwelt like bumps all over my shin. Two nights later the same thing happened on my hand. That day I was walkin into the bulding when the tenant across the hall from me asked if I had heard. He proceeded to tell me that his apartment had been quarenteened for bed bugs. He said he kept wakeing up itchy. Then he found one. They riped open his mattres "they were everywhere!".a couple nights
later I got bit for the third time (about a week since the first bite) and reported it to the landlord.not soon enough though.the very next day I started to actually see them.
We were givin a piece of paper with instructions and a roll of plastic bags. We were to move everything away from the walls and up off the floor, bag (in plastic) everything that was fabric and wash/dry it. Then someone came to treat. I believe all they did was dump diatamacus earth around the outside of the room. Of course we just swept it up with in 24hours-bad move.since then most of the apartments on the entire street seem to have bedbugs. I continue to catch them crawling on the bed, in backpacks, in shoes, on the floor, under pillows, even in a sweatshirt I was wearing. Of course my boyfriend doesn't notice. I on the other hand can no longer stay there(its his apartment). If I so much as sit on the bed for a hour I get bit. If I sleep-i wake up with whatever eye was agianst the pillow bit so badly that it is swollen shut.
We have treated twice with no results. Bed bugs are horribly difficult to kill. I caught one on a piece of tape and stuck it in a jar. It stayed there for about three weeks waving its legs around befor it died.
I don't know if anyone else still has them but they are definently still around.
