he situation and said that I was totally baffled but figured I'd have my apt treated hoping it would aleviate the problem. They told me they would contact the service vendor and call me back with further details.

A sort while later I get a call saying, "we think we know what the issue is.... bedbugs" Long story short, they identified my immediate neighbor as the source of the issue and said they have scheduled 6 apts in my building to be treated a week from that day. In the mean time I was to to go bed, bath, and beyond and purchase 2 mattress covers (which ended up totalling $200 for a aqueen size mattress and boxspring). I was told that I had to vaccuum EVERYTHING (furniture, floors, mattress, etc) take everything off of the floors in my closets, leave open all of my dresser drawers to also be treated (underwear drawer included--- how invasive!), and wash and/or dry clean pretty much all of my clothes and blankets.I also, ended up having to throw away almost $200 in memory foam/padding as well as all of my pillows.

This has been a nightmare. I do not even feel comfortable being in my apartment. It was treated last Thursday and I was told that a second treatment would be done 2 weeks later. I was told that I had to stay out of my apt for at least 4 hours following the treatment (luckily I was at work so I was not displaced) and upon my return I saw a little card saying that they had been there and treated my apt however, I saw on the card that I might notice increased activity for 10 days to 2 weeks. About two days after the treatment I tired sleeping in my bed... I woke up with several bites on my arm and feet. Since then I have either slept on my couch or stayed at my boyfriend's house.

In their defense, the girls in the leasing office have been awesome, they've been super sympathetic and apologetic and they are letting me out of my lease and giving me back my security deposit.

Until now I have never encountered bedbugs or anything of the sort and I sincerely hope that they have all been eliminated from my belongings and I can move without taking them with me. Again... what a nightmare!
