Once again the lack of knowledge that complianers have is impeccable. Bed begs will only travel from suite to suite through the walls when the infestations is over approx 1 yr old or if the furniture that is infested has been disturbed. its just like you, you have your favorite restaurant which you will always go to unless they change or close. until that point you will not stop going or you will wait. Bed bugs do the same. Why would they leave a food source other then to risk in not finding foo
d and dying? doesn't make sense, yet people are stupid enough to think so. If you dont have an infestation then why would you want to be introduced to chemicals? and if you are the infested then accept responsibility and get it dealt with and stop blaming others. Maybe all rental properties should just evict people that get bed bugs and prevent people that have had bed bugs from renting. This way everyone will have to buy their own places and maintain them on their and have no one else to blame or complain to.

To refute the claims of Elite Property Management, bedbugs are not only brought in from outside sources. Perhaps it may behoove the individual to confer with the Board of Health in the Province of Saskatchewan before blithely making such an outlandish statement in attempts to sidestep blame or responsibility.
Bedbugs can lay dormant for a year, they can dwell in between baseboards, floorboards, under carpeting, radiators, cover plates on electrical receptacles and light switches, as well as
under loose wallpaper AND can migrate from apartment to apartment via electrical wiring, plumbing and heating systems that are ran in sequence throughout a structure.
Rather than being smug and displacing responsibility, take the initiative to rectify the matter swiftly and effectively which does not mean CHEAPLY, but PROPERLY by CERTIFIED EXPERTS then you won't have a situation such as Edmonton had by a "extermination company" who attempted to rid a Boardwalk property of an infestation with PROPANE HEATERS which resulted in a fire leaving the entire building uninhabitable and multiple families homeless as well as a small child and its mother in the U of A burn treatment unit.
In closing if you are using spraying as a method of elimination you WILL have to spray later on up to as many as 3 times, as the spray does NOT eliminate the eggs, merely the nymphs, adolescent and adult stages of the parasite...so concerned and so called educated citizen YOU are the IDIOT not the person who initially quoted follow up spraying was needed to effectively curtail and end the infestation.

The comment regarding treating a full building and then a follow up is an idiot. People need to get educated before they decide to open their mouths and come across as the idiot that they are. If people would practice prevention and address the problem to their property managers before it gets out of hand then maybe the bed bugs wouldn't be getting out of hand like they are!
Thanks
Concerned and educated citizen!

Just to add to the commenets from Elite Property as some may be aware bedbugs can be picked up anywhere including your doctors office, If you are a movie goer you may be aware that the Galaxy Movie theater was recently in the news paper regarding a infestation and was closed to be sprayed. You may also not be aware that these pests can lay dorment for months and when they show up you more then likely will not know where they came from.

Elite Property Management immediately addressed all the issues August 2010. Kreepy Kritters Exterminating completed the work.
This is a on going problem going on through out North America and Elite Property Management is pro-active in eliminating any pest problems and has all of there units that they manage inspected and sprayed each time a tenant vacates a unit or brings to our attention that there may be evidence of any pests.
We also attempt to educate our tenants on ways to avoid any
potential pest infestations.
Anyone that has any education in regards to pest control know that these types of pests are brought in from outside sources.

this whole building is infested and elite property who manages this building will not take care of the problem right by spraying the whole building with a follow up spray.Date Aug 13 2010
