I have lived in this building for 5 years and the friend that introduced me to the place (who has lived in 2 apts in the building, separate from mine) 9+ years and I/We have NEVER had an issue with bed bugs. Makes me wonder what apts were infested, what condition the apartment(s) were left in as well as where they found/bought their furniture. I'm sorry they had to go through what they did but it's not fair nor accurate to paint us all with the same brush. Just thought I'd offer this feedback

We had been living in the building for 1 year without problems. We suddenly decided to get a bigger apartment in the same building. As soon as we signed the lease the previous tenants told use they had left because of bed bugs, we asked the landlord if he had dealt with the problem and he said he had and it was no longer an issue. Within weeks of living in the new apartment we started getting welts. We informed the landlord and he brought in an exterminator which worked for a few weeks. To make

My roommate and I moved in August 1, 2009. It was a lease transfer. We'd asked about mice, bugs, problems, etc, and we were told everything had been fine. Unfortunately, a week or two after I moved in, I started getting massive, itchy red welts on my arms and legs. I did some research and concluded we had bed bugs. 1575 summerhill is infested with bed bugs.. im not just talking about my apartment but the whole building has bed bugs!! it's crazy ! and there's nothing we can do about it .. we werent told about the bed bugs until after we signed the lease and now im stuck with this problem until i find someone to take my place.. but who is gonna take my place if they know the apartment has bugs ??? stay away from summerhill!!!!!!
