Follow up - never saw anything again after first time. No more bites. Looks like the problem has been taken care of.

I had a mysterious bite then saw an adult bug a couple days later, identified it online and began the process of taking care of the problem. I've only had one more bite since then, but I'm still tearing everything apart, washing, and treating my house with DE, murphys soap, etc. I still haven't found any evidence of an infestation so I am hoping this will be minor. I noticed my neighbors had thrown out a lot of furniture over the summer so I'm not sure if there's been a problem next door as well
