Also infested with bed bugs and roaches, moved out after I found bites on my newborn daughter! Paying for two months of rent and not living there . Taking them to court to get my money back, and the money for the numerous items I had to throw away! Feel free to submit a statement to be heard at court to my email if you want - missjacquiemackenzie@gmail.com
I am willing to write a statement too if anybody else is doing the same thing!

I have heard complaints from several other tenants in my building and have checked my apartment regularly due to these complaints. All checks have come up negative (as recent as last week).

Last night, however, I noticed something moving on my pillow as I laid down. I was disgusted to learn that there were 20-30 more around my bed.

I left the unit last night and will not be returning. Management has been alerted of the issue several times and has failed to correct the problem.

No

w comes the fight for 3 months worth of rent that I will not be using.

Get out if you can... good luck everyone.

Damn I signed all the papers for apartment 205 in 1257. Tentative move-in date is July 1st. Is this a big mistake???

The building managers can only be a messenger. They report to the office when it comes to maintenance pest control, move ins, move outs, and everything else. They have no control over any booking what's so ever.

The office books the maintenance, the pest control, they approve the leases and basically everything else that goes on in any of the buildings. They are a messenger that is it.

Think about it...do you really think the supers wanna live with roaches or bed bugs in their homes too

???

Moved into a unit May 2011 and was not informed of the pest issues. I was lied to numerous times by management and landlords, and even accused of bringing the bed bugs which is complete nonsense. The management office refused to call me back and I was left on hold for over 30 minutes at a time trying to get answers out of these people. It is disgusting and completely unethical the way tenants are treated. I contacted the London health department who were not very helpful, however I strongly

advise any tenants in the building to call them and report this bed bug and cockroach situation. These people need to be stopped. I have since left the building after throwing out most of my belongings which was extremely difficult. If you're still dealing with the bugs, stay strong - don't let them win!

307 here.... crazy infested we have lived here for almost 3 years september 2009 -november 2011. We have had roaches for 3 years and bed bugs for the last 8 months numerous attempts to get ride of them fall on def ears. We are moving out soon! so stay away!!!!

unit 302 here.
I moved in in june of this year (2011) and little did i know this would be THE BIGGEST mistake of my life so far! this unit was previously infected, with bed bugs, oh and dont forget cockraoches, . I had no idea, though i had asked the woman who was going to lease me the unit, if there was any pest issue. she lied to my face and said no, My unit was fumegated for bed bugs today, and i asked the man from steves pest management if this is a continuing problem. he told me that his c

ompany has been coming to these buildings for roughly 7 months atleast 4 times a week.
WHAT IS THIS! this is garbage. and if i see one more cockroach or bug im going to sue. I pay 800$ in rent to live in what is infested like a slum.. ugh pathetic. I had asked the land lord many times what to do.. and half the time he forgets even speaking to me.. or who i am. isnt that convienant.

#607 here. None personally - yet. I hope. Notices were sent out on Labour Day weekend about bed bugs in building, but were removed before end of weekend - most people weren't aware. Well, now it's Sept 29, 2011, and they're all over the elevators and common areas (I have killed several), and they have the nasty habit of leaving flyers on the ground outside apartments - when I went to pick mine up to discard them this morning 2 bedbugs fell out. (when you see them over and over again, they're har

d to mistake...)The building has been crawling with roaches for months, so I don't trust them to get rid of these bugs, and am moving (and getting my own pest control, which will be costly) asap. There are continuously new tenants moving in this month, so landlord must not be warning them. BEWARE!

We leased our unit in December of 2010, seemed like an ok place to live. Worst mistake of our lives!! We were never told about the pest problems this building has had for years. After a few months we noticed a roach in our unit at unit 704 we have only seen 2 in our unit since we have been here. It is now September 2011 and we recently saw notices for bed bugs in our building. We have yet to encounter them but by reading a previous report they apparently were right across the hall. The landlord

has made some minor attempts to make the health unit happy but they have yet to resolve the problem. The entire building needs to be sprayed every unit and every inch of it or the problem will re-occur. My advice for people looking for a place to live dont get sucked in by the $300 deposit to move in, you will regret it! I wish there was a way to get out of my lease now!

June 1 2008. Found out my apartment has bedbugs. It was infected when I moved in. Landlord chose not to mention it. Unit 705, but others may be infected, as Landlord does not seem to know what he's up against.
