I lived in this building for many years and barely had any problems with Rouches or bed bugs. The inside suites are well renovated and surprisingly nice with already painted walls and new laminate flooring. As for bedbugs they can be spread from anywhere, it's not a dirt issue. You can bring them from a 5 star hotel or even new condo suites. The management here have always responded at a reasonable time for maintenance. And people should stop exaggerating how bad the buildings are.

3rd floor
This building is disgusting! I moved in sept of 2010 and thank god only have a year lease (its been a miserable 10 months ) because the minute i moved in there were problems with cockroach infestation in my apartment. They're small but enormous ones found in the halls! Not to mention the fact we now have bed bugs. Like the previous poster said expect to have your water turned off twice a month sometimes without notice. Expect to have false fire alarms once a month. Also expect for the
outside of the building to look like a welfare garage sale all year long. People spit in the elevators and throw garbage everywhere. This building is in bad shape. The stairs are almost rotted through and the halls are dirty. The building needs to be torn down, condemned, something!
I don't wish this apartment on anyone, be careful where u rent

you may not see bed bugs yet or have them, but they are there. they may not have gotten to your apartment yet but they will. when i lived there the problem started on the 5th floor. cockroaches there are, when i lived there i would see them up to the size of almost 3 inches in length on the first floor down the halls to the back doors of the building. i had actually captured one in the past to show to the management and they still did nothing about it. my advice to you is if you can
i would try to move as soon as you can, after all you dont want to get bedbugs. its an awful situation to have to deal with exspecially with a management that does absalutely nothing about it. i lost out on thousands of dollars in replacing my furniture and cauking tubes and mattress covers to try and protect us when we were there. i just wouldnt want to see another innocent person have to be cursed by the negativity of woolner. good luck. :)

No bed bugs for us.. Have been living on 5th floor since Sept 2010.
Cockroaches, yes. The other tenants are filthy and throw food on the garbage shoot room floor and elevator. Management is a joke. If you move into this building, or any of the other Woolner buildings, expect your water being turned off without notice (frequently), bugs, domestic fights nextdoor and constant fights with management.
pissed off. on 03/21/2010
this building is disturbing. i recently moved along with a lot of other people at this building. i had to throw away thousands of dollars of belongings. not to mention hundreds of dollars in laundry. I lived on the 5th floor but spoke to other tenants that lived/live on the 6th and 4th floor and they have/had them too. this building management doesn't do anything about the problem. it makes me sick when i see new people, innocent people moving in and they don't know about the massive problem. DO
NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING. there is not only bedbugs as a huge problem. there is cockroaches even ones i have seen that at inches long. its not a nice place. don't get fooled by the units looking all fresh and new. it will be great at first but will kick you super hard in the ass in the end.
FED UP on 02/24/2010
tenent surrounding my apartment had them, now my unit and others on my floor has them along with on the 5th 6th and apparently the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors (keep in mind this is a 9 floor building). i have had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of furniture and belongings. i have lost sleep and have become paranoid over this disturbing infestation. management does not take proper measures to rid these pests of our homes. they need to be evacuating the entire building and use a heating sourc
e in all the units to get rid of these evil vampire bugs and that it must be mandatory to all tenents to vacate the premises at the managements expense. i will be moving out of this building and taking all proper measure to make sure i will not be bringing any of these "F'ers" with me. this building should be torn down. not only are bed bugs an issue there are cockroaches that i have seen up to 3 inches in length. the laundry room never has all of the machines in working condition at one time, i have had belongings stolen from me in the laundry room. not to mention the ignorant neighbors all over the building blaring music at many hours of the day and night. people spit in the elevators and have no respect for the other people who live in the building. should i even mention the bad crime in this area? lets just say in a span of 2 years of living in this building there has been at least 6 shootings surrounding my home. DO NOT MOVE IN THIS BUILDING YOU WILL BE SORRY.

i had bed bugs and the bilding spreid for them. but they come back just same, but this time is more! i loose over 7000 dolars in furnitur and cloths. i no pay 1 months rent and now they sue me! this bilding is very dirty and peeple no keep this bilding cleen. bed bugs is only 1 problem here.
The Bitch on 05/19/2009
This ENTIRE BUILDING IS INFESTED with BED BUGS. I reported my problem about 1 month ago and the owners of the building have refused to spray or treat my unit and furniture because they are having "management issues". I called Toronto Public Health and an inspector came out but said I didn't have ENOUGH dead bed bugs! How many is enough???? Did he think we were biting ourselves? If that were the case, then I might suggest he bite me too!
I have now spoken with the tenants on the 6th, 7th, 8th an
d 9th floors and have reports from 20 units with bed bugs! And that is just from the ones who answered the knock on their door. I am also aware that there is a problem on the 5th floor. I plan to eventually speak with everyone from the 1st to the 5th floor as well.
I found that, unfortunately, many people are misinformed. They think that simply getting rid of their furniture will rid themselves of the problem. They do not realize that the bed bugs are in the walls and in the hallway carpets travelling from unit to unit. I have provided info for these people that I printed at my own cost in order to educate them. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING! The units are spacious, but the bed bugs, roaches, and other unidentified bugs and vermin are PLENTIFUL!!!!!
