Been living in this building for 5 years without a problem. Recently discovered we have bed bugs, which I'm positive we got from the building itself. I spoke with other tenants on other floors who have also recently been infested with bed bugs. Management is trying really hard to get rid of them, setting up exterminators to come in immediately, but I think it's nearly an impossible task, and that the infestation will continue to grow.

Moved into third floor apartment a few weeks ago, so most of my belongings are still in boxes. Only buying a new mattress towards the end of month so I'm sleeping on a temporary mat directly on the floor. Today I noticed some bites on my right hand that resemble bed bug bites. Called the super; the apartment will be looked at by the exterminator on Thursday. Will update soon.

Found 2 bugs in my bed this morning. Was pretty freaked out, I have never dealt with them before. Was surprised, over a week ago, I received notice from management that my apartment was to be treated for bedbugs. I had not made a complaint. When I got home, I could not tell that anything had been done. Whatever they did was not successful.
Am buying mattress covers, will be cleaning and doing laundry, fixing outlet covers and using diatomaceous earth to see if that helps. Wis

h me luck!

The exterminator has visited once and will return tomorrow...everything is washed and in bags again but I killed 4 of the gross little bloodsuckers in my bed today.
Have spent hundreds of dollars already and am starting to freak out that I will in face have to get rid of everything

Gonna pick up some tape to seal the outlets and doors in the morning and hope for the best.

Woke up this morning to something crawling on my back found 8bugs crawling in my bed filled with blood. Am off to get mattress cover and do laundry. Will update

I live on the 2nd floor.

The first days I moved in (sept 2010) I saw one bug which I quickly tried to kill but it went into a crack in the wall. That night, I put down diatomaceous earth and repainted any of the cracks in the apartment.

Since then I have had zero bedbug problems. There are ants here and there but that`s to be expected living in an apartment building. Management is also quick to fix concerns.

I found a beg bug on my bed some months ago. I killed it. It was full of (my) blood. The next day my roommate found another one in the curtain. Since then we are keep cleaning and cleaning. I wash my clothes, mattress cover and sheets every week to try to get rid of them.

I've been living here for 2.5 months. I'm pretty clean and very bug-phobic and have a fairly new mattress. I noticed the bugs 2 days ago and knew exactly what they were. I don't have a cover on my mattress so my room is worse than my roommates.

The super has been quick to act but clearly there are bed bugs in the building. It's comforting to know that the super has responded so quickly to my complaint and has already booked a follow up appointment, but I'm concerned that this will happen aga

in.

Three years ago, on public TV there was a mention on growing bed bug problem in Toronto, and soon after, I noticed few bites on my back. I blamed the spiders, and then one evening, I was on my sofa, watching TV, and saw a tiny bug. Well, never seen it before, so, I took magnifying lens, and kinda, it looked like the bug shown on TV, so I goggled and bingo! I had a match. All I can say, I didn't sleep well that night. Next day, I reported bug problem to superintendent, and after few days, I had a

pest control crew dealing with it. Needless to say, all the preparation, washing, cleaning... prior to their visit... lot of work. I keep my place very clean, but it has nothing do with it. I guess, I was lucky to find one before they spread..
Three years had passed, no sightings, no bites, and then in June 2010, I got bitten again. I was desperate. All over again.
WAR ON BED BUGS 2.
Now, I know the drill. This time, in my arsenal, I had handy steamer. Kicks ass! It took 2 weeks to have my place secure. Now, bugs are gone. I think, I would call 911 next time. I've been in this bulding for 8 years, and remember seeing an angry letter posted in the elevator saying that building is infested with bugs. I assumed it refereed to roaches, but I never had that issue, so I ignored it. At the end of bed bug saga, I think moving out is the only way to avoid next encounter.
