Regarding the comment "Major problem is a homeowner with multiple cats I believe" please get your facts straight. Pets have absolutely nothing to do with bedbug infestations, nor does cleanliness. Bedbugs can, and do, infest ANY apartments or houses, clean or dirty, with and without pets. Bedbugs much prefer feeding on HUMAN blood, not cats.

Next door neighbor took a bed bug infested mattress into his apartment, my apartment was sprayed as a preventative measure, however, a few weeks after the neighbor was evicted (for other issues), the bugs started to appear. The landlord promptly called the exterminator, however, I had to wait about a week until he showed up.
