We stayed at the Hilton Downtown Toronto for 1 night on June 9th, 2011. The hotel did not meet any of our expectations of a 4 star hotel, we had just finished a 2 night stay at the Hilton Fallsview in Niagara Falls which was absolutely amazing! This room smelled like smoke and everything just seemed dirty and outdated. I personally did not get any bites, but in the morning I found a bug in my shoes that I had worn out the night before! I am completely grossed out! I am hoping that the bug d
id not hitch a ride from the Niagara Hilton... that would be disappointing. I have read that there were reports of bed bugs at this hotel already, so I am assuming that is the location of this bug. I freaked out and jumped and did not see where the bug went... Don't let the name of this hotel and the "star" rating fool you into paying $400 for 1 night with bed bugs! This hotel should be demolished as the outdated renovations are just not up to par with 2011 standards. Unfortunately when we booked we did not do our research properly. I will definitely be more aware of when we are booking hotels to check for bed bug reports!

Downtown Hilton - 145 Richmond Street West, Toronto. We stayed at the downtown Hilton on September 25, 2010 for one night. After dinner, we returned to our room and settled in to bed to watch a movie. Within an hour of starting the movie, we had bed bugs crawling everywhere on the sheets, pillows. We notified the front desk. A staff member who came up to move us to a different room came in to look and was horrified to see them everywhere on the bed.
