My unit became infested with these horrible creatures in the fall of 2010. They did spray the unit (and I think the entire floor/apt) once - but it was not done properly, i.e. from what I gather, spraying has to be done at least 2 or 3 times and even then there is no guarantee; in my case, it was done just once, and very ineffectively: they guy just spent 10 seconds or so in the unit - not even spraying the walls or base boards. I moved!!
Also, beware of ROACHES!!!

that is my apartment, actually that has a tape. I had a panic attack this Friday when I saw a bug near my front-door(inside!). I inspected pretty hole apartment and after that, I found another one, not far from the entry area. I taped everything, I sprayed twice the apartment, washed my slip-cover, bedclothes and everything and steamed, put monitor boxes. I did everything that I could read in internet. Due to Xavier report, I even sprayed the laundry room.
by the way, I haven't been bitte
n at all. and since Friday I'm checking it and my bed too, and monitor boxes. no one, even dead. I hope that that were just two infiltrators.
Maybe I'm a paranoid, but I haven't seen them before in my hole life, and I'm really scared and think that they come from outside (once again basing on the Xavier report and the place where I found the bug), from the common floor, that is why I wrote messages for everybody.
I had guys from management today, they will call somebody to spray the floor.

Noticed that a an apartment on the first floor of this building had double-sided tape on the floor of their doorway. Don't know if this a preventative measure or a sign of an infestation. All the apartments on this floor received notices of "bed bug detection and to take precautionary measures".

I have lived at the place from October 1, 2007 to May 31, 2011. I never had problems with bed bugs until March 2010 when I woke up to them crawling on me in the early morning. I reported it to management and they came to spray three times and they still are not gone. I am moving out effective immediately as I cannot handle the stress of it at all and I have also outgrown the limited space of the place. I am not taking any furniture with me and am getting my mattress treated as part of the move t
o my new place. It is my belief that the bugs were spread across the building during the mass spraying that took place on September 2010 due to the fact that I did not have a problem with them at all prior to that time. In addition, after silently video recording the last spraying that took place, it is my belief that not enough was done to ensure a proper treatment of the apartment. Additionally, I feel that the bed bugs are nesting somewhere in the laundry room directly below my apartment and that this room has never been treated.

The entire building is set to be treated tomorrow as a "prevention" by Reliable Pest Control. I personally have not had any in my apt, but have seen infested mattresses on the curb. When asked the super is open about the problem and seems to be acting accordingly. Will follow up post-treatment.

Hi Jimmy,
I’m assuming all your furniture is moved away from the walls, and all your clothes are still bagged? It’ll take 4 more treatments, every 3 weeks. Are the pest control guys coming back? Did you speak to the property manager about what you found in your unit? Keep all samples of bugs on packaging tape or in a sealed jar. Keep a log of date, time, and location found.
Go away for Thanksgiving, given that you can answer the above. Good luck!

Today is September 28, 2010.
Exterminators came and sprayed the whole apartment complex as a precaution. Tonight, my girlfriend and I discovered a bed bug in between the mattress and the box spring, and it seemed to be dying, as it was slow and did not move when touched. We found a bug a week earlier on top of our blankets, and after seeing todays bug, it for sure was a bed bug. Neither of us has been bit, and no one else in the building has said anything about bed bugs.
Also. we found one ny
mph "skin" on the mesh screen on the bottom of the box spring. We pulled everything apart, including the box spring mesh, and we found not a single sign of any infestation.
I'm have tickets purchased to go to home for Thanksgiving, and am wondering if I should cancel them, because I don't want anyone else to get the infestation.
