Update -- the bed bugs have been resolved and there is an agreement between the landlord and us that if they come back he will spray for them again. I am content with this arrangement and would like for the listing to be taken down.

Update on situation: Landlord brought in bedbug-detection dogs and the bugs are isolated to just one apartment, the second one, which is ours. As such landlord has agreed to cover the costs of spraying the apartment for bedbugs twice. The first spray was completed on August 11, 2011; the second one will occur in 2.5 to 3 weeks. Provided that occurs and works, we will request removal of this listing when there are no longer bedbugs in the apartment.

Myself and my wife live in one of the apartments at 56 Metcalfe St. We reported the bed bugs over 1.5 months ago. The landlord essentially ignored the problem. Finally, he realized that they could spread and feigned interest to come in and covertly send bed bug dogs through to verify a spread had yet to happen. He then refused to do anything else.
Be very careful with this location, it is an old house with lots of places to hide and a landlord who refuses to help.
