At first, one of my roommates noticed she was getting these strange red marks on her leg. Then, she got a bunch more...don't even know how many, and on her back etc. She was afraid that she was having an allergic reaction to something, neither my other roommate nor I had been bitten "YET" when she had decided to go to the hospital.
This was when she found out it was bed bugs! I was in a movie theatre with my sister when I got the news. This building is a health and safety hazard! We have bee
n sprayed for roaches 4 times in 5 months. Oh and they are doing the "bomb" spraying of poison for the bed bugs and also roaches at the same time. We all have allergies and can't handle breathing these fumes in but have nowhere else to go. Not to mention...we don't want to bring these bug problems to other people. So we are then stuck, clearly they don't realize that this is a clear violation of the landlord/tenant act. "Failure to provide a safe and healthy living environment" comes to mind. I've had to miss work! I mean this is only just scratching the surface of the problems here. :-( Word of advice, stay away from this building!

Cockroaches and bedbugs galore and management always hire friends and family...nothing gets fixed
A group of 50+ tenants are in the process of filing a class action suit against management for maintenance fees ( we have got rid of bugs in our unit by sealing and gelling on our own $$$$ :( ) and rent , among other things
the building has gotten so bad that rent decreases often .
Over 40 cars have been broken into in the past month despite having security and cameras on site because half
the cameras do not work and security just sleeps and smokes.
I have seen people time and time again doing massive loads of linens and complaining about the bedbugs.
We "only" had the roaches (4 different species) and spend about $400 a year to keep them out.

My wife got first bug bite 2 weeks ago and none of us paid any attention at that time. During a week time, she got more bites on her legs and back. We have never thought of any possibility of bed bug, but was suspitious about the fleas since we have a dog. Interestingly, I have never got any bites in the first 2 weeks. But things changed radically this week. I got 30+ bites in just 2 days. And after information search, we found the bed bugs right at the seam of the mattress. I will report to the
management tomrorow, and keep the status updated.
