YMCA bed bed bug infested...stayed 1 night. So many bites looked like I had chicken pox. Advised staff member who advised I must have brought them with me. Hogwash!!! After speaking with other tenants found out staff is knows it is a problem however turns a blind eye. I would rather sleep on the street then spend another night at the Y.

Thanks poster for the heads....will find other accomodations...bed bugs are a problem & no one who is renting these infested units is forthright & honest about the problems. Thanks again.

This is the Hamilton YMCA men's residence and the building is infested with bed bugs. This is of December 2011. They will treat your room if you complain but all rooms are interconnected by the heating system and they _do not_ treat adjoining rooms. The residents are generally short term, although there are exceptions, and people just put up with it.
