Wow...unbelievable...searching for an apt in Hmt & prior to viewing always check address against bed bug registry. This building & 175 hunter have the most complaints i have ever come across. I am truly amazed, that management would even have the gull to advertise units for rent, all the while knowing the building(s) are infested with bed bugs & more than likely a host of other creatures. Timbercreek your pathetic posts to are counter-productive in alleviating any fears a potential renter might
have. Come on now....who shall i believe....timbercreek or the over 60 posters between the 2 buildings who have endured living in your slum like buildings. Thankful for this site & very thankful for each and every poster who cares enough to speak out so others wont have to live the nightmare.

@ Timbercreek person....sorry to inform you however, not all buildings end up bed bug infested. As for your company taking positive steps to eradicate the problems, well that is simply untrue. A known infested unit, was vacated & it took almost 3 wks to have the unit emptied of infested furnishings & other belongings & then another 2 days before it was treated for bed bugs. Timbercreek continually states they are the landlord of choice & act with due diligence & care; however, that is not the ca
se. As per the pest control man, the building will always, always always have issues with bed bugs, as that it is so heavily infested, completely demolishing the premise is the only sure fire way of it becoming bed bug free. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR & DONT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Google Timbercreek Asset Management Complaints & see for yourself the host of problems, concerns & bad reviews levelled against this company all across Canada. Check out the complaints on the bed bug registry for the sister building to this one 175 hunter & read the over 30 complaints registered there.

Unfortunately, all residential apartment buildings experience pest issues from time to time. Timbercreek takes these issues very seriously and we are currently undertaking a pest-control treatment at this property. This treatment will also include an on-going preventative maintenance program. We urge any tenants who are having issues with bed bugs or have any other concerns to contact our resident relations department at residentrelations@timbercreek.com so that we can work towards resolving
these issues for you.
Thank you.

Spoke with building management on 05/21 and received verbal confirmation from Timbercreek that 205 Hunter Street West has a serious bed bug issue - the majority of these cases have sprung up since renovations began in January 2012. One specific case was mentioned by Management, where a bed bug infested unit was renovated which spread the bugs throughout the building into other units as well.

pls read reviews for Capital Terrace's sister building at 175 hunter west, both owned and operated by Timbercreek Asset Management. Both buildings have same issues & same incompetent on-site management

Thanks posters for the heads up to all who posted....will find other accomodations...bed bugs are a problem & no one who is renting these infested units is forthright & honest about the problems. Thanks again.

Read reports for 175 Hunter, which is owned and operated by Timbercreek Asset Management. COMPANY IS A SLUMLORD...DONT MOVE INTO THEIR BUILDINGS. All infested with bed bugs, mice, cockroaches, crackheads, drug dealers, criminals etc
Anonymous on 04/17/2012
Moved out at the end of 2011. Found a bed bug inside of a baking pan in one of my moving boxes. The unit was treated twice and management said they didn't find any signs of bed bugs, but they evidently say that to everyone.
Thankfully didn't carry any bugs to my new place or to my boyfriend's. I threw out a lot of furniture, steam-treated and sealed up every piece of clothing I had, vacuumed out every box and book before sealing up and moving it out right away.
They said they would completely
renovate my unit and increase the rent, but that will never stop the bed bugs from walking in. Roaches in the kitchen no matter how clean or how tightly you seal your food. Huge holes under the counters where the pipes come in, they never bothered to seal them up and stop one highway for bugs. Roaches are even worse if your unit is next to the garbage chute (any unit ending "01").
Stay away from this building. They're advertising it on Kijiji and other sites. I feel like I dodged a bullet by leaving.

Just discovered bed bugs yesterday. Told management - was informed that "no one near me" had bugs. Also found a cockroach in the shower, first one I've seen since moving in two years ago.

Timbercreek Asset Management = BED BUGS....this company is a slumlord & what they do is purchase underdeveloped & mismanaged low income properties, do some shoddy renos, raise the rent & then call themselves, "the landlord of choice". Pls do not be fooled by their deceptive marketing & surface renovations. Timbercreek Asset Management is in the biz of making money...period & have no skills & interest of ensuring their tenants are #1. PLS PLS PLS DO NOT MOVE INTO ANY OF TIMBERCREEK'S BUILDINGS

Bed bugs are alive & thriving at this building. The building is disgustingly dirty & the drug addicts that live there break into the cars every chance they get, which is generally every weekend, particulary fri eves. A group of gossipping tenants gather in the lobby every night & add to the ghetto-like appearance of the building. Most tenants are on welfare or odsp & live like pigs. The on-site supers Ann & Steve's own apt is bed bug infested, dirty & looks like a hoarders home. They both are la
zy, inept & ignorant. Dont let the renovations fool ya, underneath it all the bed bugs are alive & biting & will infest your apt sooner or later. Oh dont let me forget the lack of cleanliness in the elevators, which is full of cigarette butts, spit & dog fur. Also if u own a pet & move in your beloved animal will soon be infested with fleas. The building is surrounded by Hmt housing owned 7 operated buildings, which housing the crackheads, drug dealers & all sorts of criminals, which make it unsafe to walk in your neighborhood at night & even in the daylight hours. The Hmt Police attend the building at least 2x a week & at the time of this writing there are 3 known drug dens within the building. BED BUGS COCKROACH MICE ARE IN THE HALLWAYS, ELEVATORS, LOBBY LAUNDRY ROOM UNDERGROUND PARKING GARAGE & APTS...DO NOT RENT FROM TIMBERCREEK. Pls take heed to all these reports & believe each & everyone of them, not management, they are liars, thieves & trained manipulators.

Moved in & was gone 7 days later....why you ask....BED BUGS, COCKROACHES, MICE & DRUG ADDICTS!!! My lesson learned check BB Canada, Yelp & other google sites that will tell u the truth about your property manager. Also stand outside a building & talk to multiple tenants as well as observe them & it will tell u whether u want to live in the bulding or not. Do not believe management. TIMBERCREEK SLUMLORD OF CHOICE ALL ACROSS CANADA FROM CALGARY TO HALIFAX.

BEAWARE OF WOLVES IN SHEEP CLOTHING & MOST IMPORTANTLY BED BUGS, COCKROACHES, CRACKHEADS, DRUG DEALERS, VANDALS, MICE & A HOST OF OTHER CONCERNS!!!

DISGUSTING BUILDING!!! Rip-off artists...Hey TimberCreek, do you really think that by doing shoddy, cheap "renovations" will justify $500 per month rent increases? Really???
What about the basement flooding? Cockroach infestations? Mice? Bed bugs? The elevators that don't work? Crackheads...and the bonus here is that the crackheads do attack the residents! (Sorry, TimberCreek, but this is 100% true...just check with Hamilton Police). Hopeless building management doesn't do anything; however,
they love to try to get into your apartment every week, under some bogus pretext. They see all the units, all the time, but they don't fix/treat anything. TimberCreek is a nightmare and runs this building like a slum.
byebyebedbugs on 02/19/2012
BED BUG HELL.....Ann & Stephen are useless, property mgr Debbie Cormier is totally inept & Timbercreek takes slum buildings, renovates, raises the rents & tries to call themselves the landlord of choice. Landlord from HELL is their rightful title. Lived in their building for less than 4 mos & every day was a nightmare.1st crackheads, drug dealers, cockroaches, no security & then BED BUGS. It doesnt matter how pretty they make the building inside & out look the bed bugs dont care. The building is
so infested only complete demolition of the property will eradicate the problem & that is a direct quote from various pest controlman!!! Pls do yourself, family & friends the favor & dont rent from this company....they will rob you of you peace & sanity. Bed bug bites hurt & the financial, physical, emotional toll arent not worth it. Been there done that & know living bed bug & timbercreek free.
ANON on 01/10/2012
NEW BUILDING MANAGEMENT THINKS BED BUGS ARE NOT A PROBLEM. THEY ARE GOING TO RENOVATE ALL UNITS, JACK UP THE RENT & THEN RE-RENT TO HIGHER INCOME INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL SUE THE HELL OUT OF THEM WHEN THEY FIND OUT THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!! DONT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! TURN & LEAVE & DONT LOOK BACK!!!!
nighmareonhunterst on 12/14/2011
Found 'small' bed bug infestation in apartment, first experience with bed bugs, didn't even know what they were at first. After three sprayings, they seemed to disappear. Thoroughly cleaned apartment, encased mattresses, etc. Gave out notics to all tenants (a brochure) explaining what they are and what they look like and how to find them. Made pamphlets myself. Every few weeks we will find one straggling around (we check every night thoroughly). Constantly having to get sprayed, found out our ne
ighbour was badly infested a week ago, have been getting preventative treatments almost every week. We are getting another full spray because we found two in a period of a week in different rooms.
My advice is DO NOT move into this apartment. It has bed bugs, while they do offer the service and are pretty diligent in treating it the problem does not seem to go away. They don't treat enough places, it looks like almost everyone in this building is struggling and/or not reporting. The management sucks on many other levels as well. Terrible customer service, terrible water heat, temperature control, etc. We will be moving out very soon to a new apartment complex but have already spent hundreds on attempting to rid the problem. Constant spraying, terrible nights, and neurotic searching every day is just not a healthy environment to live in. They really need to bring back DDT or find an alternative that effectively eliminates these pest. By far the worst pest you could live with in the world. Hardest to remove, most psychologically debilitating, and almost impossible the sleep with.

Management posted response to all reports...what a joke.....a known infested unit was vacated & 3 weeks later has yet to be cleaned or treated!!! There are cockroaches in the elevator, hallways & even lobby. Every day a mattress and/or box spring is tossed into the dumpster out back. Sometimes it is properly wrapped, most times not, so the elevator is infested with bed bugs. On-site managements own unit is disgustly dirty, so if they can even keep their own ujnit clean what does that tell u abou
t the entire building. Property management has an excuse for everything & continually gives the round around. DONT MOVE IN HERE!!!! BED BUGS, CRACKHEADS, CRIMINALS, FLEAS & COACHROACHES....NEED I SAY MORE!!!

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!! The DAY I moved in I had cockroaches, mind you I had no food and came here with only a night stand and an air mattress and the careless supers tried to say I brought them! I've had bed bugs numerous times and have been sprayed numerous, being a single mother and have to prepare for the tedious task that is preparing for the spraying is exhausting!
There are so countless drug users that roam the building, and I have almost died in the elevator numerous times because of t
he faulty maintenance.
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE, unless you are capable of living under such conditions

DONT MOVE IN TO THIS BUILDING!!!!!! We have battled bed bugs, cockroaches & fleas!!!! The on-site superindent couple couldnt careless. Drug users constantly run in & out of the building, all the while management looks the other way!!! As for bedbugs we have been sprayed 2 times, purchased very expensive mattress pad covers & i purchase 2 cans of pesticide a week from the pest control fella & spray the hallway outside my apt, my baseboards & carpet however once again we are back with bed bugs!!!!
The process of prepearing for spraying is tedious, expensive & time consuming & spraying will keep it down for awhile however, when u live on a floor with disgustly dirty people what is the use. We are out....lease or no lease!!!! ONCE AGAIN DONT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY, SAFETY & FAMILY!!!!!!

I lived at this address for a year the second my lease was up I moved immediately. It is infested with cockroaches and a lot of apartments had bed bugs. The 19th floor was the worse (i believe since the laundry mat was on the 20th floor, but of course other floors had bed bugs as well.
