As far as I know, the problem is resolved. The landlord, at his own expense, hired Orkin to aggressively treat the infested apartments. The treatments took many months. It's now been almost 2 years since the infestation, and I haven't heard about any new cases.

Note, however, that bedbug infestations are kept very hush-hush by the superintendant couple (to protect people's privacy). As such, I can't be 100% sure.

Just a question. Is the problem resolved?
I am looking for an apt in Ottawa and check here to see if there is reports..
The neighbors has the right to know! Everybody need to communicate in those cases..

As of September 2008, this apartment buidling now has 6 infested apartments. All tenants have been asked to keep quiet regarding bed bug incidents.

My neighbours down the hall found bedbugs at the beginning of July. They have had 3 treatments so far, but are still struggling 6 weeks later. With the two you mention, plus this neighbour, that makes 3 known infestations at this location.

About two months ago my roommate noticed bites on her but didn't know where they came from. A couple of weeks later we discovered what they were and immediately notified our supers. Unknown to us, our neighboors across the hall had been sprayed for bedbugs and they moved through the holes by the heating pipes and entered my apartment.
