I stayed there for 6 and a half months.
I moved out when I woke up one morning with a horrible rash, only to find out that the I had bedbugs in my apartment.
I was so embarrassed, which immediately turned into anger when I found out that the landlady had an infestation in her apartment and had professional exterminator come over to her place just five weeks before I noticed them in my apartment.
I asked her about this and she told me that she bought a sofa at a second hand store and it had bedbugs in it but that she killed them.
Yeah, she killed them at her own place, but not in mine or in the other tenants' apartments.
I couldn't take it anymore. I left with my clothes in plastic bags and had them professioanally washed before going into my new apartment.
I left all my furniture behind. I had a professional exterminator go in and fumigate everything in my place and then had professional movers pick all of it up, clean it again and deliver it to my new place.
I live on the same block, just five doors down.
Today I noticed this lady is trying to rent out her another apartment in her building.
Four of her tenants moved out.
She will not work with realtors because she knows they will register this place with the bed bug registry.
She is disgusting.
What's crazy is that I moved out a few months ago and a week ago she came up to me in the street (drunk of course) and asks me to pay her April's rent...lol.
