A few days ago, my flatmate and I noticed a number of itchy bites and welts that increased over the next few days. She's lived in this apartment for near on a year now, and she said she's never encountered bed bugs or even cockroaches.

I wasn't so sure. So last night, I laid awake, waiting. Sure enough, an hour of so after I turned out the light, I felt something on my chest. Clicked on the light and sure enough -- a bed bug.
