What room did you stay in?????

@Tracy.
Yes, it is VERY possible for you to be having a delayed reaction at the bite sites, which is often why people have a hard figuring out what the bites are and where they're coming from, if you're out and about and start itching, you wouldn't be thinking about the bed you slept in the night before, ya know? But, it is also very possible the room you were moved to also had bed bugs, like apartments, they travel through cracks in the walls, electrical outlets, via guests coming and going, t
he list goes on.
Everyone can benefit from your post here, however, you should put it under the Hotels name specifically as many people come here prior to booking hotels and this would be very helpful information, also i believe it helps the hotels to be held more accountable when they realize people aren't keeping their mouths shut about a VERY serious issue, such as this.... If you bring BB's home, do you think that hotel is going to cover the thousands of dollars you'll spend trying to fix the problem they started?....NO!

I stayed at the Sheraton Towers Friday, January 21, 2011 through Monday, January 24, 2011. Sunday morning I woke up with eight very large bites/welts. I called management and reported it. They came to my room right away, verified that they were bedbug bites and moved me into another room, assuring me that the new room would not have bedbugs. They took my clothing that I had lying on the extra bed and drycleaned it for me. Needless to say, I could not sleep at all last night. By Monday morning I
had a total of fourteen bites - shoulders, back, hand and arm. My flight home was miserable, the bites are very painful and extremely swollen, they look almost like burns. I am having a horrible reaction to them. Now, I am terrified that the bedbugs got into my suitcase, so I just threw it away. I am washing all my clothes as I type this. I checked every single piece of clothing for the bugs before I put them in the washer after researching online to see what they looked like. I now have a total of seventeen bites. Is it normal for them to appear after 24 hours? Or did the new room they put me in have them as well?? I loved my visit to NYC except for this. Should I have insisted on my money back and gone to another hotel? I really did not know what to do and I was traveling alone. This was my first visit to New York. I am so miserable right now. I would appreciate a response with any information you can give me. Thank you.
