November 2008. My wife found bites. I was skeptical about the source of her itching, thinking it may be a rash or something. Soon after, I spotted a bug crossing our bed while I was dressing in the morning. When I killed it, it left a blood stain.

We immediately contacted our landlord. The months following, we cleaned all clothing and linen, sprayed bed bug spray, covered our mattress with a plastic bed bug cover, and disassembled our bed frame while cleaning extremely thoroughly.
