I started getting random bites around November of 2009. Finally in January 2010 it became unbearable and I actually saw a few bugs around the bed. The landlord had an exterminator come but my roommate was not experiencing bites, therefore unwilling to go through all the necessary purging/cleansing. So I vacated my room in February 2010. I'm not sure if she ever got bugs over on her side of the apt.

We moved into this same apartment (700 E. 9th St., #15) on December 5th, 2009. We have been bitten for months but since we had never had bed bugs before, we did not know what it was. It was not every night, so by the time we realized it, it was completely infested. I saw adult size bugs crawling on the walls and it was really bad after they completely gutted the apartment below. Lived in Apartment 15 for approximately six weeks (Aug/Sept 2009), and had to move because of bedbugs. I found them on perhaps a dozen occasions.

The two apartments next door were vacated while I lived there, and no new tenants were found. Apparently the building has a reputation; my roommate told someone his address, and they asked, "oh, the bedbug place?"
