Just asking because I live in the building- I want to see if Seth who responded here is an employee of the management co or how he knows if the building is now bed bug free

I know First Hand that the problem has been taken care of and the last tenants got their money back and they brought the bugs with them when moving...Dont forget to question your moving company before sticking all your furniture in a truck or Uhaul. The apts were all taken care of professionally.
what people seem to overlook is the fact that a person that runs in to a bedbug problem still uses a truck to get his furniture out and then YOU may be using that same truck to move elsewhere, result
ing in YOU bringing bedbugs to your new bedbug free place. Im starting to itch, Good Luck and do your homework people.

73 ST PAUL PL
APT F10 (+whole building)
we moved into this apartment february 1, 2010 and one the 2nd night woke up itching and by the 3rd saw bedbugs. we found out later on bedbugregistry.com that the apartment had been infested since april 2009. the tenant that made the post moved out june 1, 2009. we found out from the neighbor that at least on other person/people moved in and out of that apartment between the original bedbugresgistry.com post and february 1, 2010 when we moved in. we n
otified the management (the building's management is listed as SLOPE 73 LLC but is really a branch of the slumlord-management company GALSTER!!) who refused to let us out of the lease even though we had only been there 3 days. they sent the worst extermination company available, GLOBAL EXTERMINATION who sent teenagers with pesticide to spray the apartment for only 20 minutes and then leave. we went through 3 rounds of 3 week treatments and the bedbugs kept coming, often crawling out the night after a treatment, strong as ever. finally they sent a dog which found bedbugs in the neighbors apartments which management agreed to treat, but did nothing to organize it or even alert the tenants of when exterminators were coming, so of course the situation remained HELLISH. i had been holding my rent in an escrow account (refusing to pay until the problem was taken care of) they eventually tried to evict us in end of MAY which was a BLESSING since all we ever asked from the beginning was to let us out of the lease. i brought a certified check showing i had the 4 months rent i had been holding, and the judge sympethized with us only to the point of giving us 1 month break on rent. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT OR ANY BUILDING OWNED BY GALSTER MANAGEMENT!!!!
