update: the building has gone through several treatments and the apartment where the bugs came from initially has been cleaned out. it seems as though the problem has been fixed.

(and the landlord is incredibly nice, so he would respond immediately if anything else were spotted.)

I moved into this building at the end of July 2008 and started finding bedbugs a couple of months later. I reported them to my landlord, who hired an exterminator, and then we traced the source to an unreported full-on infestation on the second floor.
