This is more of a hostel type establishment than a real hotel, although it does have a few "hotel rooms." I took 29 students to New York in the fall of 2010 and we stayed at the Gershwin Hotel. 14 reported bed bug bites. Management was notified and the guy at the desk actually laughed about it and said, "Welcome to New York." Well, I beg to differ. I will be welcome to New York when I can stay in a clean, bedbug-free place, which the Gershwin clearly is not.
