I do not know how the apartment got bed bugs, but for about a month I was getting large bites on my arms and legs. One night, after my mom suggested I check the bed, I pulled the bed away from the wall and found 3 bed bugs. We threw all of our furniture on the curb (and someone quickly took it before we were able to cover everything with a note saying DO NOT TAKE). I moved shortly after.
