Bedbugs discovered in mid-2010. Roommates with huge welts on back; one had to go to emergency room. Landlord claimed extermination was not his responsibility, despite NYC housing laws saying otherwise. Superintendent (in actuality our super-tenant, but that's a different issue) claimed that roommate had brought in bedbugs, but an expert hired by her boyfriend showed that the infestation was deep and longstanding. Pure hell.
