, meaning the landlord has never had this building or the apartments properly exterminated. He also fails to tell people this of course when they move in. I made the landlord pay for the exterminator, but I had to pay to board my pets, send my children to a family member, and spent a lot of money washing all my clothes in hot water. These creatures are disgusting and many other tenants here have complained of these horrible creatures. I was under so much stress from this incident especially since they were biting my children and I had just had a baby. Luckily they never made it to his crib. I am writing this story to warn anyone about this building, the landlord does not care but I do which is why I am posting this story.I have had no problems since but I constantly live in fear that they may come back and financially I cannot afford for it to happen again. Unfortunately tenants just moved in upstairs to apartment 16 of this building and they had no idea until I told them. That apartment was infested a few months back I wish the best for them, but I believe that apartment was never taken care of. I hope my story is posted and people read it, BEWARE OF 2382 HUGHES AVE, I am planning a move sooner then later. No one should have to live in fear the way I do, money is an issue these days and who can afford to replace all their furniture these days. Luckily my sofa was saved and I have since bought mattress covers and covered all outlets with child shock protectors.
