I actually spoke to the management about this and they were very forthcoming--didn\'t seem like they were trying to hide anything. They said they did have an issue with one apartment on the on the 9th floor last year--it was someone living there who travelled all the time to Europe and it appears they must have brought the bugs back with them--this is such a common problem in Europe. The person in the office said they exterminated the 9th floor apartment and the problem is gone. They said they sprayed the apartments nearby also to make sure the bugs didn\'t spread. They say they have not had any recent reports and that the nurse\'s apt was inspected by two separate exterminators and neither found any bed bugs, but they have reason to believe she was suffering from a skin condition and it was not actually bed bugs. Has anyone on this forum actually experienced bed bugs at this building or is everyone just going on \"something they heard somebody say\"? Because you know how that goes. I have heard that when a building is actually infested, the city has to get involved and everyone ends up moving out--but that doesn\'t seem to be happening here...why would people still live here if is was infested? Doesn\'t seem to make sense. I doubt it\'s infested.

Wow, seeing alot of postings, hope that nurse girl reported it, I saw she saw my posting, hope it didnt hurt her feelings, I am not long for this fleabag place anyway...yet you look it up and it looks like such a nice place..yeah for critters. I am even more freaked out when I see all these new posts. This place sucks and "EQUITY HOUSING" knows it.

bad incident on the 9th floor.....let's just say people knew about it and denied it. the people who rent and show these apartments know about it. and when I stayed a while ago, someone else was complaining also..so whats the deal. I see all these new posts. its awful why isn't something being done? I know I wouldn't even think of staying there after what went on when I was there, you would think since then something would have been done about it.
Really sad and pathetic, what if the people who rent out these places had to stay there..they would run faster than the bed bugs..HAAA. not really funny but I hope one of the realtors comes out with one on their clothes and brings it to their house...??

OMG,,this person is talking about me..I was carrying this huge laundry basket to try to salvage what I can even take home or throw out, my arms are chewed up like you wouldn't believe and I showed 2 doorman who apologized and asked why I didn't say something sooner, I am livid as I had to have biopsies, pay for MD visits,prescriptions go on an oral antiobiotic because I got such a bad skin infection from scratching soooo much. They moved me from 10k to 12I, but by then I had them and took them with me. I feel disgusting. But the worst part, is because I had this bad all over rash that was very visible, I LOST MY JOB THAT I HAD JUST STARTED AND LOVED!!!!
Believe me when I say this is NOT over, but JUST the beginning, someone told me that "there hasn't been anyone else who complained,,we what are the posts below me????????? NOT DONE YET by a longshot. People have already been contacted and I better be reimbursed for EVERYTHING I LOST,JOB, CLOTHES, SHEETS, BLANKETS, SUITCASES, AND MOST OF ALL TIME WITH MY FAMILY...I HAVE ZERO INCOME COMING IN NOW. WHO IS GONNA STEP UP TO THE PLATE NOW!!!!!!!
I cant believe that person below is talking about me, I knew someone was looking at me but was so preoccupied by washing as much as I could..

I am freaked, I saw a girl on the elevator,nurse maybe,she was in scrubs, she was holding a laundry basket and I saw her arms all bit up,,gross, I felt bad for her, I tried to see what floor she got off on but other people were also on, it was either the 10th,11th or 12th floor. I hope she reports it if she even knows,,this place has bedbugs!! as do alot in here in Manhattan, people come and go too fast.

bedbugs on the 9th and 3rd floors. They rent apartments like hotel rooms so the bedding is never really clean. you can see the bedbugs on the walls, it's gross
