As told to me by other tenants of this building and as confirmed by the building's staff: the week of 16-Aug or thereabouts, the residential rental company on the 8th floor had a client come in to pay their rent. The client transferred bedbugs into the lobby furniture.

A bedbug sniffing dog confirmed this.

The space was fumigated and the bedbug sniffing dog returned to confirm that the job was complete.
