January 22, 2010 - 4th Floor
We discovered a bed bug infestation in our apartment and immediately reported it to the building management. Their response was quick and they had the exterminator here the next day. The exterminator sent an agent with a canine for detection that indicated a presence of bed bugs in the bedroom, living room, and office.
The landlord paid for the service (estimated at $800) without asking any questions. However they did not have our neighbors treated nor do
I believe they were even informed. They gave us a copy of a contract to sign and give to the exterminator service that already had their info filled out with "as agreed" under the payment terms and indicating where "tenants" should initial and for what they would be charged. Does this mean they have had a problem? The exterminator did not give us any information about any problems that the building might have, but the woman who showed up with the canine told us she "didn't say this, but she had been to this building before."
We cooperated with the exterminator and have tried to be as thorough as possible to get rid of the problem, but we are still very concerned about how we got them in the first place and the possibility of them coming back.

Jun 08 had bed bugs throughout the 20th floor, starting with the corner, #2003. Had exterminator come twice, but building refused to have its own exterminator come. Left after lease expired. The building is now being turned into condo's so it's unknown how much work they've done to clean up the units.
