I am one of the tenants in No. 4 and first reported the infestation. The landlord had them exterminated in July '10 and I haven't seen them since. We first reported them to the landlord several months earlier.
The exterminator led us to believe that the infestation had been there quite a while (before I had moved in).
We haven't seen anything since, and I hope that the rest of the building is being taken care of.

I'm surprised there is not a bedbug report already for this building. A few months ago, a new tennent moved into no 4. Shortly thereafter there was a note and a heavy handout attached to the front mirror of the lobby. He said that he had discovered a huge infestation in his apartment and here was some iformation on bedbugs, what we could do about it, and our rights as a tennant. Don't know about the outcome of the situation because I didn't know the guy.
Fast forward a few months, I come

home from work late and my roommate is awake, handful of garbage bags. He says he was laying down to sleep (and he sleeps on the floor due to his back) he flipped over his pillow and saw a "bunch of small dark bugs." He said, and I believed him to be correct espeically after I saw one on his wall myself, that we have bedbugs. I've gotten bitten by something myself but thought it might just be a random spider or something, I mean the building is pre-war so go fiugre UNITL recently. The occurance of bits I've woken up to is too much NOT to be a bedbug and in fact, as I sat down to write this tonight, I CAUGHT A BEDBUG on me (after it had bitten me a few times on my thigh.) Please believe first thing tomorrow I'm calling the landlord because this infestation should have been dealt with when it was contained to one apartment, now instead of possibly the whole building.
My lease is up this month and I am moving out.
