Lone-buggy on 11/17/2010
We live on the 4th Floor. One of my roommates found a bedbug so we had an exterminator come and inspect. He said we were infested, not severly but the critters were there. No signs of them through their telltale signs like being bitten, bug fecal droppings on the sheets, blood drops, etc. Which i thought was strange that they had been there but no one was attacked. VERY ODD.
The apartment was fumigated and all is well that ends well....for now. To be honest, i dont think it was a big issu
e. roommate may have just found one loner that found its way into our apartment from another apartment. Either way, we fumigated just in case the citter had a posse somewhere.

Our apartment has been infested twice between August and December of '09. We've spent $800+ dollars on cleaning equipement, living out of house, work hours, etc.
Our management company has never mentioned compensating us for our expenses even after we've reported them.
We've had two experts (an exterminator with over a dozen years experiance and a bed bug dog detecting company) come and say that the management is treating this infestation very poorly- they only spray the affected apartment
so the bugs travel to the surrounding apartments. Our neighboors have been infected three times since Sept '09.
Do not rent here. The bugs are inherent in the building and will not go away while the management company holds to its current policy. You live in poison; your bed and home are not safe and you're stuck for the term of your lease unless you want to go to court.

Apartment 6C
We moved in on Sep 1 and saw our first bed bug in mid-October. We belatedly discovered that the apartment was listed as infested with the city in May, three months before we moved in.
Units A - D in this building are in their own wing, more or less, and many, many apartments (my guess is a third of them, at least) on the six floors of our wing have been infested. The landlord has only started now to treat some of the A-D units, sporadically. Other units thoughout the building
have also been infested.
The building has 67 units in it. Personally, I would not rent here again. The super is useless in this fight and the landlord is reactive at best and certainly not proactive.
