We had bedbugs three times in 2 years. The most recent was in July 2010 so we threw everything away and moved. Bed, couch, anything cloth that we couldn't wash or dry clean, and even then we threw some things out because it was getting expensive.
The neighbors apparently were not following all the steps to help kill them off.
