A friend of mine and I lived at 518 W 111th for roughly three years between 2003 and 2006. He moved in shortly after I did, and took the room at the other end of the hall from me. At some point in 2004, he complained about bites he seemed to be getting at night. He went through several rounds of spraying his bed and room over the next two years, with some success.
