"NY Traveller," if that is indeed his name, isn't a careful reader. The below message about the bedbug infestation at 309 West 14th was written in 2009. I stayed in the building in 2009 and rest assured, there was a MAJOR infestation there. However, the management of this Single-Room Occupancy building did put in a significant effort to get rid of the dreaded bugs, mainly because they are trying to sell the place as a hostel/cheap hotel. I have no idea what the status of the building is now reg

arding bedbugs, but I can tell you that in 2009, you could see them climbing the walls in the hallway, in the bathroom, on the floor, on the stairs, on the ceiling, in the corners, and, if you were particularly unlucky, on your bedsheets. It was, quite frankly, a creepshow.

I just wanted to say that I'm staying here at Hotel 309 right now, and there are no bed bugs at all, at least in my room. The poster above that said there is an "infestation" in all rooms, less than a month ago, is probably just trying to defame this hotel.

When I checked into the hotel on May 23, I found a an adult bedbug crawling across the bedspread. I put it in a jar and gave it to the front desk. They apologized and said they would send it to a lab, though it was obvious from appearances what it was.

Currently there is an infestation in all rooms of this small hotel in NYC. The bed bugs are alive active and biting. This hotel is in an old run down building and is the epitome of a "FLEA BAG HOTEL". Go anywhere else but here if staying in NYC.
