Gioia Realty landlord of 518 E 6th St. has immediately responded to this issue and has hired a professional licensed exterminating company who has been contracted to treat every apt in the building as a preventive measure and to do follow ups.We believe the building is bedbug free and will closely monitor every call concerning this matter. This building constantly has bedbugs in one of the apartments. They ask the tenants to remove their things off the floor and send unlicensed workers to "spray" and then do no follow up. They don't even do all of the apartments on the same floor or tell any of the neighboring tenants. This is why this problem will never go away here.

Building has been suffering from bed bug infestation for months now. Landlords refuse to hire licensed professionals to address the issue. When asked if the exterminators are licensed, landlords lie, intimidate and or claim that there is "no need for legalities" They rely on illegal day laborers who do little more than fill the apartments with toxic chemicals not suitable for bed bug extermination or human consumption...HELP!

There are still bedbugs in this apartment. We have been dealing with them for more than two months. The exterminator has come 6 times and still has not eradicated them. The landlords will only treat individual apartments at one time and will not bug bomb the place like they should.
