November-December 2009. We had bed bugs at the building about 2 months after moving in. One roommate happened to be allergic to the bites so we caught the problem early, exterminated, and have been bed bug free since (fingers crossed!).

All in all, the experience was terrible, but the exterminator the landlord sent was great and we're happy the problem seems to be solved (once again, fingers crossed)!

This happened in January 2005 through April 2005 (I moved out!)
I was not compensated in any way shape or form because: a) It's a three family; and b) it was not a health problem back then.

I called 311 and received no assistance.

I lost everything, my furniture, clothes. Had to start from scratch. The exterminator wanted to charge me $700.00 and said the problem would not go away because the whole building was infested.

This building is infested with bedbugs. Our downstairs neighbors first reported it. Soon after, we got it in ours. The landlord took no responsibility even after reporting it to 311. My roomates and I had welts that covered our bodies even after the exterminator sprayed. The problem never went away.
