Started getting bites that seemed like "mosquito" bites in mid-December, 2009. Very intense itching. Didn't consider that it might be bedbugs. Discovered first "live" bedbug mid January 2010. Called exterminators who confirmed the problem. I am now going through daunting task of preparing my apt. for proper extermination which includes sealing all my possessions for three months, caulking, repairing all cracks and crevices (in an apt. that is over 100 years old.)
