The interesting part about when I reported to the Hampton Inn about their bed bugs they conveniently indicated that no one could find any evidence of them. (Which is what I would expect them to say.)
Well, this was the only hotel that I stayed in and immediately began itching right after the stay. Then upon going to the doctor, they diagnosed it as bed bug bites and ask me if I had been in a hotel recently.
Looking at the patteren of the bites on my face and neck tells me that they were in
Beware and check out the pillows and linen before going to bed at this location.

I spent two nights at this location. Next day I had red bumps and began itching badly. Went to doctor and was diagnosed with bed bug bites on face, neck and wrists. Spent money on doctor visit and medicine. Looks like I will have marks/scars in the locations of the bites.
Better ask if the room you stay in has been exterminated before staying.

This address is for the Hampton Inn Empire State Building hotel in NYC. I just spent a week there, and found 3 bedbugs on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in my room on the 5th floor. This was disturbing, since I had been in the room since Friday, and spent 5 nights with them. I did not find any bites on me, thankfully. re. I flushed 2 and brought #3 (in a water bottle) to the manager downstairs. Hotel management moved me to a different floor, and said they would give me some free Hilton nights. I also asked them to pay for my dry cleaning once I returned home, and they told me to fax them the bill and they would send a check. Hopefully they'll honor those promises. Overall, a huge inconvenience for me (my wife made me unpack outside and clean everything). But I understand these things happen, and the hotel really seemed concerned about the bugs and also with trying to make things right.
