I have also been living in Rivendell Way. I also face roaches problem ever since. And of course none of the supers seem to care or respond very well to the clean up requests. But here is a misconception which has been mentioned in the previous postings about Asian Community. Let me make clear to those who think this way. There is no logic in what you are writing. Asians also buy furniture etc in this country, we never get it from our so called 3rd worlds. It is the management and the Edison Heal
th Department who is 'WRONG'. They just keep renting .

Hi,
I live in 213 rivendell way.. We have problem with bed bugs and roaches in our unit. we had to through away some furniture because of that and we have so many roaches in our unit, tough i try to keep every thing clean and dry. I have asked for the treatment 3 times in this month and we were finally told that the terminator would come on Monday..so i took every thing form the kitchen and have waited for 8h rs 9AM-5PM on Monday the very same day specified by the lady at the rental office and
no body showed up or nobody ever cared to call me or no body ever took my call. This is so frustrating..... i just wanted to say one thing to those who want to move to rivendell..
Please don't do that to ur self .. u will never like this place its just grouse.. and no body cares of ur problem and i also wanted to mention i pay 350$ to 400$ for electric and Heat bill per month. There is no response for that too.. they say because i live in top most Flore i have more bill ... ridiculous rite...

Lived there for 3 years until March 2008. had a great bedbug problem that we detected on July 2007. We thought we had brought them form traveiling, but I think the whole building was infected. It was the worse 9 months of my life trying to get rid of these things!

January 2009. After about a half a year battle of these things and the management being anything but helpful or reasonable - we are still here, simply because we are not able to move at this point.
Their sulution is to treat it 3 times - ONLY YOUR APT - that's great but after removing everything out of closets, taking everything out of furniture, getting everything off the floor in the whole apt, it is beyond frustrating when after afew months they come back because the idiot management did
not treat the WHOLE BUILDING. These insects travel through wiring and pipes from one apt to another.
We actually read reports prior to moving in here and thought that hey, who cares, how bad can it be.
Well....it is bad and if I would have known then what I know now I would have NEVER moved here!

My family and I (with a two years old boy) moved into a rivendell apartment (1314 Rivendell way) last year in june (2006). we escaped from the apartment after 10 days for the horrible bites of the bed bugs. We lost everything (furniture, personal belongs etc..) and the company did not help us in anyway. We informed Edison Heath department and with their help the company allowed us to terminate the lease with no penalty. However, the same Edison Health department (knowing the problem of the unit
) gave the ok to e re-rented the units to another family right the next month. One month is not sufficient to eliminate those pest from an apartment and the company was very superficial in the way how they have approached to problem. It is not jut a matter of immigration but not treating the apartment in an efficient way and allowing people to get in and out increases the chance to spread the bed bugs everywhere in the country.
After we left the Rivendell units it took us 4 month to find another home and of course we had to buy everything from the bed to the cloths.

Rivendell Way - Edison, New Jersey. Many buildings. These are townhouses but many used as guest houses for people coming from the Asian continent. Have tried many things such as exterminator, getting rid of wood bed frames, washing infected areas, careful not to move affected items into another area as to not infect other areas. Have been told by professionals it is due to the largely 3rd world immigrants who are entering the country and are bringing these pests.
