Apartment J101, Rock Creek Apartments, July-December 2008, bedbugs were in the apartment before we moved in and proceeded to pretty much ruin everything we owned. We noticed about 3 months after moving in, which obviously was too late to salvage most of our furniture. Landlord wouldn't talk about the issue, exterminator spent a significant amount of time at the complex which leads me to believe that the problem might be pretty big throughout the apartment complex.
