Tired of itching on 09/02/2010
I am a current resident of CityView Apartments formerly known as Plaza Square Apartments. I moved into building 30 two years ago. After a year I noticed rash like welts on the back of my legs and arms. I thought it was an allergic reaction and went to see my Dr. My Dr. told me it was not allergies and thought it may be bedbugs. I immediately went home and did some internet research on bedbugs. I then did an inspection of my mattress seams to find tons of bugs. The mattress was discolored
with so many bugs. I noticed blood streaks on my white bed sheets. I found skeletons and live bedbugs. I went back to the internet to find a solution. I ended up spreading 90lbs of diatomaceous earth powder all over the floors and closets and everywhere. I chose this product because it was non toxic. I sealed the mattress and boxsprings with a plastic zip up cover. I duct taped the zipper shut as well. I left the apartment to sit with powder out for 3 days and stayed at a hotel. I came home. Cleaned up all the powder. I left the mattress encased. This solved the problem for about a month, when i noticed a bedbug crawling on my as i sat on the couch. Turns out all my neighbors in this high rise apartment building are experiencing the same problem. I reported the problem to the leasing office and they send the exterminator weekly to spray poison. They have been spraying since and the problem still is present.
