If any of you have problems with Scott I advise you to email Sussex and inform them. After having talks with my employers (lawyers, etc). and close friends I've come to realize that as a caretaker the way he handles his responsibilities is extremely inappropriate. I'd say about 50% of the times I've interacted with him he's been loaded out of his mind; he blames tenants, talks behind our backs about each other, comes by randomly and without prior notice, etc. I see that a few of you have problem

I wouldn't doubt that Low Cost Exterminators is a scam and doesn't even use chemicals. Scott is a real creep. He might be worse than the bugs themselves. He lies about the bed bug problem. Maybe collecting some of the bugs and putting them near or in his apartment will help fix the problem. I'm never renting Sussex again!

Scott is a total creep. He does try to force conversation and he lies a LOT. When I first came to view my suite the first question I asked was if there had ever been a problem with bedbugs. His response: "No, never. I hate the little things." If I'm not mistaken those were his EXACT words, and I'm sure a few of you have heard him say that to you before. So deceitful. Does it not surprise anyone else how Scott is often sporting a black eye when a tenant moves out of the building? He is quick to often blame tenants when he smudges paper work being sent back to Sussex. I have witnessed him change info on a signed document where a former tenant did a walk-through for damages listed in the apartment. He often knocks on my door or drops by unannounced for absolutely no reason "just to see how are things". I witness him harass others in the building. No one wants t

Aside from bed bugs I'm positive this building has a serious mold problem as well. I have often woke up with a bleeding nose and constant throat irritations until an inspector demanded they change the carpet which they've come to find out was carpet on top of carpet which was covering black mold.

To those posting here, he also blamed my boyfriend and I. We haven't seen anything since we've been sprayed last month but I know for a fact our entire building NEEDS to be sprayed and continue to be sprayed for a few months until this problem is taken care of. I think we need to get together and make a demand letter to Sussex because I've done so myself and have gotten nothing seeing as how it was just my complaint. If I find another bedbug in my suite I have the City Inspector ready to come in

Phoned the agency this morning, they will be coming friday to spray and then again in 2 weeks. it is really awful that these are being taken care of faster before they get a chance to make their way to all of the suites.

The landlord is completely ignorant to the idea that there is a serious bed bug problem in this building. When I discovered that I had them he initially blamed me because I take the bus- excuse me? The only way this problem will ever be solved is if his unit gets infested. Then he would understand the sleepless nights and constant paranoia. Not to mention the fact that I had to throw away ALL OF MY STUFF. He should not be allowed to be a landlord, he has no concern for the tenants.

Despite our best efforts, the caretaker has not properly remedied the situation. We are moving out asap. Please do not move in unless you're fine with having your requests regarding these little pests ignored and unless you're fine with throwing out absolutely everything you own.

Spraying is not effective. New tenents are moved in despite infested suites. Avoid living here.
