My apartment had Bedbugs last year. The bugs were found in my mattress, on my pictures hanging on my wall, in my couch and loveseat, and in my son's mattress and furniture (that was the hardest part to deal with) I found the bedbugs after an infestation in another apartment in the same building. After my apartment was treated, 4 other units reported bedbugs. I am terrified I am going to get them again. Management was horrible about the situation telling me I was responsible for the fee to spray.
I wish I could move, but is not an option right now.

bugs found after living in unit 6 months, Management says it is our responsibility. We brought them in; not possible previous address was in this complex, I work in extrem heat conditions, wife works in sterile enviroment. also have been told by property management must pay $350.00 for exterminator. only in Apt. not entire 12 unit building.

We recently found bed bugs in our apartment (May 09). The maintenance man informed us that no one in our building had ever had them. Upon talking with other residents we found another apartment who had detected them many months earlier and was continuing to do monthly treatments. Only after several complaints did the apartment staff formally notify other residents and have a search of all units. At this time they were still informing me that they would not have the common areas or the laundr
y room sprayed unless they found bugs in them. The staff attempted to tell me that bed bugs cannot travel from apartment to apartment or through these common areas. After the inspection they found bugs in yet another unit, but still refuse to pay for any of the spraying. They state that bugs cannot travel from apartment to apartment so it must be from somewhere else. I am very upset at the way this case was handled and the ignorance of the staff here.
