Checked in to the Baymont Inn this evening (June21, 2012) at 7:00 pm. Left to go eat dinner before going to our room.
When we came back to the room, undressed, went to the bathroom and made a phone call.
Sat down in the chair next to the bed after pulled the covers down. As I was sitting in the chair, I spotted a tiny black bug crawling across the pillow. Captured it in a styrofoam cup and my husband took it to the desk to ask about it. They said the General Manager was gone for the even
ing, but they were trained and educated about these things and were pretty sure it was a bug from outside. They offered to give us another room.
When my husband came back to the room and told me, the phone rang and when I answered the desk clerk offered to give us another room, but we decided to check out without being charged and left.
Am I sure that it was a bedbug? NO....but it was enough of a concern that we left the motel. I'd rather be safe and than sorry. We left all of our luggage outside in the garage and I will be fumigating everything before it comes inside. Not taking any chances with this!!!
