Landlord has since hired competent pest control and problem has been resolved.

Moved from Phoenix, AZ to this location in Chicago on the first of July, 2011. Within one week myself and my room mate were bitten. Land lord has hired incompetent pest control professional. Land lord did not mention bed bugs before we signed a lease. All of the other tenants in the building have bedbugs as well. The land lord refuses to show receipts for treatment and refuses to hire competent PCO.
