512 W. Addison, unit 003 and unit 002
Both my next door neighbor and I have bedbugs. Parliament, our building owner, is footing the bill for the extermination. That's the good news. The bad news is when I asked Parliament if any other units had bedbugs, they gave a non-answer.
It was the exterminator that Parliament sent to inspect my place, after I called about my suspicions that I had bedbugs, who told me about my neighbor. In fact, he said that when he found bedbug
s in my neighbor's place several weeks ago, he told Parliament they should inspect, or at least warn, the surrounding units. He also said that exterminating in one unit can drive the bugs into the neighboring unit....which is probably what happened to me. Luckily, this exterminator is making sure my weekly treatments will happen at the same time as my neighbor's so we don't just drive the bugs back and forth from one place to another.
I plan to let all my neighbors know about these bedbugs. If you suspect you have bedbugs, you probably have them. You cannot get rid of them on your own. They will only get worse until a professional is called in. Don't wait and don't remain silent.
