Beginning in February of 2010, my roommate and I began to notice a bedbug infestation in our apartment. After talking with several neighbors on the same floor, we realized that the units immediately to the right and left of ours were also affected. The building management has been alerted to the problem, although no sweeping treatment (such as treating the entire building at the same time) has occurred. According to our exterminator, this is the only way to truly eradicate the problem. Four
months and about four treatments after we discovered the problem, it would appear as if the bedbugs have--at least--temporarily been contained (knock on wood). We are finally beginning to empty our clothes from garbage bags, and will hopefully be able to resume living a normal lifestyle shortly.
