The tenants rented the single family home in September 2009 and in June 2010 reported bedbugs. Since the tenants failed to take action the landlord engaged a pest control company to eliminate the pests from the premises. Bed bug bites on numerous floors with more than 50 bites on several residents (we have pictures of the bites all over the arms and back of tenants). In spite of numerous complaints to the landlord and owners of the building they refused to treat the place based upon DC laws stating that it was the tenant's responsibility and not the owners/landlord obligation to treat bedbugs in DC.
