Clusters of small raised bumps appeared on my arms and neck during a two night stay (August 2010) in a shared room on the 7th floor. Initially I thought they might have been mosquitos bites (as i had been walking outside the previous evening) but I became suspicious when more bumps appeared the second morning and they became very itchy over subsequent days. I have since sought medical advice and have informed the hostel of the situation.

We have been using Hostels travling the US from Germany. I was in a prty of 4 people. We were all bitten by bed bugs over July 4, holiday. Staff did not care. There were other who had same experience that were not in our group. The room was a shared group room.

Got bit periodically over a period of two months- found out later the apartment below me had bedbugs also. We believe the tenants that formerly lived in the apartment below, but then moved to the basement apartment, brought them in via a used mattress (since the mattress was dumped when they moved out in July). We also had a mice infestation shortly before the bedbugs came, could have been caused by the mice as we
